IT Luggage World’s Lightest 2 Wheel Soft Cabin Suitcase: Ryanair approved?

8672557_R_SET

I bought this cabin bag earlier this year after I planned the trip to London with my friend and I have some thoughts I wanted to share. I got the suitcase because my previous one is 6ish years old and a few (precious) centimeters smaller. Clas Ohlsson had a sale at the time and I’ve wanted to upgrade my carry-on since last year when I got my lightweight check-in suitcase sorted.
I really am a fan of these lightweight suitcases! You can get the most out of those precious kilograms and especially if you prefer flying with budget airlines for short haul flights where you only get 10 kgs to work with.

The IT luggage World’s Lightest 2 Wheel Soft Cabin Suitcase is

  • Size H55, W40, D20cm.
  • 39 litre capacity.
  • Weight 1.56kg.

What made me interested in this bag was the pockets. I really love how unique and functional they are! I’m planning to keep my liquids bag and iPad air in the square bottom pocket, for easy access when it’s time to separate them at security, and the rectangular pocket beside it is keeping my luggage straps and scale. I’m keeping the top one empty for now but it can surely fit some snacks and other essentials!

8672557_R_Z002A

The inside is very basic but I like the four pockets out of net that makes the inside a little more organised and it also has two straps on the bottom that will help hold everything in place.

Everything I’ve mentioned so far have been positives and now I want to mention two things that could be improved. The first thing is the handle, it’s not your standard 15-20 cm wide handle… it’s only a few cm short of being the same width as the suitcase. And in theory that may seem cool (even though I don’t understand the point since you usually pull it with one hand) but it makes it feel slightly flimsy and I’m afraid it’s going to break.
The second thing I want to mention is the wheels. As you can tell there’s only two of them but what might not be obvious is that they do not adjust to the direction you’re going. To me that feels weird and not as smooth as what I’m used to. It doesn’t bother me that it only has two wheels since the front legs keep the suitcase in place when you put it down but it also means that you can’t pull it anywhere beside behind you or I guess in front of you .

Overall I’m happy with my purchase and when I fly to London on December 1st we’ll see if it’s nice to carry around and if its exact measurements are allowed as a carry-on on Ryanair. To be honest, I’m worried since I’ve heard that Ryanair looks for any excuse to charge you extra for a bag that looks too big and I feel like I’m really pushing it by bringing a suitcase that is the maximum dimensions 😬

Am I trying this again?

I’m back? maybe haha

It’s been a few years and I’m here again, just in time for another trip to London.
I’ve actually been back two years ago but I didn’t upload it here, 4 years is quite some time so a lot has happened since I last uploaded. Not anything I want to rehash right now though.

I’m going in December this time again, with Louise. We’ve never gone on a trip together before so that’s exiting! It’s not even a month left anymore and I’m researching everything as usual. What I want to buy, airline regulations and how the public transit works haha.

The star of the show is a trip to The making of Harry Potter but we’ll try to visit Madam Tussauds and other, more spontaneous things too!

Selfridge’s beautiful window display

I took a picture of all the window displays outside of Selfridge while we walked through Oxford street. They were so beautiful and planetary themed. My favorite is what seems to be Mars, the god of war. And the one with feathers behind it is my least favorite… it felt very strange. For example: why is he holding the bow like that? And the overall pose too, is very strange.

Pizza party w/ Charles and Emma

Met up with Emma and Charles yesterday to eat and watch movies! We did what we did last time: bought three different pizzas and got a third of each. Last time we made frankenstein’s monster-pizzas though because we cut them and assembled them before putting them in the oven, this time we just ate them, one at a time because we were so freakin hungry!

12355086_10208411037343061_1857058178_n   The pizza from last time 😊

This time we had ham – cheese, pesto – mozzarella and prosciutto – funghi and we watched the white chicks and mr. and mrs. Smith.

We had a great time and hopefully we’ll do it again not too far in the future!

IMG_0885

I’ve blogged a lot today but this will be my last post because I have some school stuff to read and sleep to do!

The first London vlog is up on my youtube channel so check it out here, hopefully I’ll be able to edit the second day tomorrow! The third day won’t need any editing because I just shot one video that morning ^^

So much fun 😭 And I’m so happy I could do this with my best friend 💙✨💖

These are the things I bought:

The DreamWorks Tours London Travel Journal, I’ve included pictures of everything in it! It was £20 and for an extra £5 you got a ogre green keyring and magnet to put the small pictures they included and an extra photo which was the how to train your dragon one!12351099_10208408801647170_2046674366_n12351080_10208408801727172_716021284_n12348434_10208408802087181_1766100731_n12348544_10208408802727197_836813317_n12348323_10208408802327187_1256789590_n12351245_10208408802847200_238226353_n12348293_10208408803247210_460166599_n12358172_10208408803167208_595122722_n12355086_10208408803407214_731709221_n12278195_10208408803727222_1521167213_n12348739_10208408803487216_1686056560_n12358509_10208408803927227_189511822_n12355184_10208408803807224_1123811701_n

This mug cost £10 and I got one for my brother too! It has union jack on the handle and Fiona & Gingy on one side, Shrek &  and Donkey driving 😂 It’s a very pretty souvenir!12336168_10208408804007229_611336548_n

Next I got a tumbler with Gingy on it 😭 It’s red with a layer of gummy beads before the actual cup inside! It’s huge and heavy and fragile… I’ve already made two cracks in it 😢 This one was £6. 12334367_10208408804247235_1116591626_o

Lastly I had to get these: Fiona ears, that light up! I love getting headbands from amusement parks and whatnot so these felt like a must 😁 They have different settings on the lights, the ears either glow, blink or have a gradient on and off light. I like the last setting the most!  12355761_10208408804487241_1596976541_o

After Shrek’s Adventure we went into Namco Funscape, it wasn’t as exiting as we thought it would be but it wasn’t crowded and we played a little claw machine because there were some stuffed toys we haven’t seen before so it was still fun and nice to see the place!

Thank you for reading! We had a great trip 😁

IMG_0815Last picture I took that day! Rest is footage but we made it to Oxford street, we shopped and then we had to walk all the way to London Viktoria in the rain. It felt very miserable but in hindsight it wasn’t too bad 😆 We didn’t die haha 😅

Post London

Good evening!

We came back from London today💕 I’ve slept a little less than 4 hours and I am exhausted but in the attempt to not flip the day (I have no idea to say the Swedish expression “vända på dygnet”) I’ve stayed awake until now (22.02).

Since I got home I’ve wrapped all the presents I bought, eaten a bit and caught up on my Youtube feed/watched movies 😌 Very relaxing after all the walking we did yesterday.

I have sooo many pictures to show you though… might start right after this (if my eyes doesn’t fail me or my head hurts too much)! I also have a lot of vlog-footage to edit but that will have to wait until I have some free time >w<

This is just a mini update but I’ll upload day based posts soon!

London to do-list.

hklondon11

London, a city neither Ari or I have ever been to. We’ve talked about going since our second year in high school and it hasn’t happened until now. Probably because the money we got from CSN (the central study authority) wasn’t much and it all went to food and a game every month 😂 (It feels good to be slightly older.)

So what are we prioritizing for our first time there? Here’s the list of what we’ve planned to do:

  • Shrek’s Adventure 19566-shrek_landscapeI’ve already talked about this on my last post so that’s why it’s on top of this one! Shrek’s adventure is a themed attraction and if I’ve understood it right it’s a live show with different elements and we’ll be able to buy a travel book with our pictures in it when it’s over + there’s a few rooms themed with popular dream works where you can take your own pictures and then a gift shop! (hella exited over this one)
  • Namco Funscape1091884226_Namco1Ari and I are both reeeaally exited to go here. It seems to be an arcade hall but with bumber cars and bowling alleys… so a small amusement park indoors (my fave)? 😱💕
  • Shopping on Oxfordstreet Oxford_Street_December_2006I’ve heard the name Oxford street in the past but looking through google maps (yeah I know… I want to be able to have a sense of location when I’m there haha) I found everything I want to check out! Superdrug☆, Boots, Disney store Primark are the main ones but there’s lots of other stores so hopefully we’ll manage to get to those too!
  • Last but not least… all the sightsSights-of-London.rend.tccom.966.544Since it’s our first time visiting, we have to of course see Big Ben, London Eye & Buckingham palace but I don’t think we’ll purposely seek out all of them because it feels like they’re just there but we’ll see 😁

I hope you found this interesting and please, if you’re a Londoner or have been there and would like to give some tips about where to go/eat/shop ect. please comment and I’ll read and reply, thank you 💙

Day 5 in Edinburgh…

…was the last day.

IMG_0629After we checked out from the hostel but left our bags in the basement, Emma, Linnea and I walked on Princes street one last time, ate and did some last minute shopping in St. James.
We had quite a hurry back because we were on the other side of princes street and had 20 minutes left before we were supposed to be back at the Hostel to get our bags.
Funny thing is that if we had just taken our bags with us, we wouldn’t had to worry about anything because we were near the airline busses =w=

After this I only have pictures taken in the airplane! ^_^

IMG_0631 IMG_0635 IMG_0637 IMG_0641 IMG_0645 IMG_0649 IMG_0650 IMG_0651 IMG_0656The end of the adventure.

It was cold and windy- opposite the weather on the way up *_*IMG_0558 IMG_0560The lake we walked passed when we finally reached concrete! We saw a stork here too. This is the opposite from where we started walking :’3IMG_0568 IMG_0569 IMG_0571 IMG_0583At St Margaret’s Loch. The swan’s followed us <3 I’ve never seen so many birds in my life! Even baby-swan’s! °_° And crazy-looking duck-thingies.IMG_0586 IMG_0588On our way back to the hostel!IMG_0589We bought yummy stuff on the awesome little store to the right of the hostel. After eight in it’s evolved form *mind blown*. We played dares with the starburst’s again! >w<IMG_0592Mr. lucky god toe!
We walked out again in the evening to see Edinburgh castle ^^
IMG_0604 And there we were!IMG_0602“Real Hogwarts” again ;3IMG_0605Faancy.IMG_0616The view was so pretty at night (not that it wasn’t in the day, it’s just a different feel over the city)!IMG_0617I promise, I had those black circles under my eye….. >w<‘IMG_0621Silly Emma :DIMG_0623The prettiest picture of J.K. Day 3 in Edinburgh!

The Wednesday in Edinburgh was the day my teacher had planned the three hour guided tour. I didn’t take pictures until we stood in front of the church and that’s about 40 minutes in to it.
IMG_0493 IMG_0500 IMG_0501Talking about poet’s and haggis in front of a building resembling Rapunzel’s/Juliet’s tower!IMG_0502Mr. Andy, the tour guide, in front of the old way of detecting thieves. A step was shorter than the others and the thief wouldn’t know so the person would fall (which woke everybody up).IMG_0503Edinburgh castle!IMG_0506We had a break in the middle of the tour to drink and eat something in a cafe called Hula. Hot chocolate :3 The god damn coins drove me crazy though. We couldn’t tell them apart most of the time!IMG_0507 IMG_0508The “real” Hogwarts (crappy picture, I know) :3IMG_0509Bobby… I love this dog! QwQ The statue is adorable too!IMG_0510The old red-light district. Andy talked about Burke and Hare here. Very interesting!IMG_0511 IMG_0514 IMG_0516This is where the tour ended. Since Andy doesn’t get that much money for the mount of time and effort he puts down on these tours, I think everyone gave him something as tip.

IMG_0517The building from the outside.IMG_0520Emma! Haha I love this picture :DIMG_0521Princes street on the left and the bridge on the right.IMG_0524The last picture of my shoes before they probably burned… in hell.IMG_0527St. Arthur’s seat from the bridge.IMG_0528We walked around looking for souvenirs and while we walked on a small street, I found this little shop with fairies ect. I instantly thought of Robin. You should go in if you ever visit Edinburgh, Robin! ^_^

Day 2 in Edinburgh.

Pictures from day 2∼

IMG_0478

Our hostel breakfast∼ This is basically what we ate everyday for breakfast.IMG_0480Tuesday was the day we were at the University all day. Here we were waiting for a pre-meeting with the scottish students teacher. After that she invited us to her office in a different building and you’ll know why in two pictures!IMG_0481The elevators were occupied by rushing students so the teacher asked if we wanted to take the stairs and for some reason SOMEONE (not me of course) said yes… the department for Scandinavian studies are on the 13th floor, a.k.a highest up in the freakin’ building! We were so tired but because we (Emma, Linnea and I) walked at the front we didn’t stop. And what did we see?IMG_0482 IMG_0483 IMG_0484^ That. A beautiful, foggy Edinburgh. The big mountain in the first picture is St. Arthur’s seat!IMG_0485On the other side of the building, from the window in the staircase. IMG_0486The lobby of the building where we listened to a lecture on Scottish culture from an awesome man (I sadly can’t recall his name) but he made everything a lot of fun.IMG_0487He gave us Irn Bru… and we gave him salt licorice (because it’s apparently rare outside of Sweden or something).IMG_0488Then we had a few hours till we had to have class with the scottish students, so we ate and walked around. The class we had was crazy. We moved all the chairs so two faced each other in a long trail. It looked like some kind of blind date scenario. The room was tiny for the amount of people in it, and it was so hot inside. And we did a lot of different group exercises. Some were pointless but a few were pretty funny. IMG_0489Before we headed to the hostel that evening, we stopped by Tesco express and bought our dinner. Emma, Linnea and I bought the same thing haha.IMG_0490My shoes got totally destroyed from all the times I tripped over nothing on the uneven street. So I had to buy new shoes but I couldn’t that evening because everything was closed already. Skärmavbild 2013-03-24 kl. 17.32.13Around 22.00 that evening, the majority of the class met up with the Edinburgh students at the OZ bar. It was nice (- the creeps trying to hit on people). We headed back to the hostel with Alexandra and Camilla at around 12 and that was for the best because the others stayed three hours after that and they looked so tired the morning after. I was tired enough during the three hour guided tour haha!

End of day 2.
