This morning my illustration-class got the opportunity to visit an art studio.
15 people works in an apartment which they all share the rent on (and it makes it really cheap but cramped, they don’t work at the same time so it’s fine).
It’s decorated with both their work and other comic works. It was very cozy!
And the people working there has a lot of different styles. Some studies/have other work on the side and some works with it full time!
Max Gustafson and Jenny Karlsson are two artists I recognized the work from and they are both super talented! :D
The coolest thing must be that Max shares his desk with a guy that draws for DC comics! °w° So jelly! He works at night though so he wasn’t there.
They told us that they would sell comic books cheaply at a market because the publisher went bankrupt. It’s on Sunday and I’ll definitely be going! ^^
I’m not going to school tomorrow because it’s not necessary sooooo… IT’S OFFICIALLY THE WEEKEND! ;D
The last Swedish-lesson. My fairytale loving English A&B/Swedish B teacher! I like her and it was a pleasure having her all three years.Home-made cinnamon buns… so yummy c:
On the last lesson we watched the end of Midnight in Paris (we saw the first part on the lesson before) and “fikade”! Marcus… so pretty with my glasses and his hair parted in the middle!
Evidence that Inuyasha can be super cute. Taken while I was waiting for my mother to buy milk. :’3 He can be cute when he wants to, haha.
On my way to a livenight at a music high school, the bridge had some difficulties closing… so people (including me) started walking instead!
Rytmus livenight Picture: Experimetal
Me and Marcus saw a lot of cool bands. Experimetal’s guitarists were, so, cool (and super talented)! One of them looks like Jason Segel and the other one looked like a combination of two of my male friends (Marcus and I were amazed)!
Strangely enough… the guitarists I’m talking about are the only ones not present on the picture above .__.
Picture above: Merielle dropped her palette and when she made the first wipe, I thought it was so pretty that I had to take a picture. ART ON THE FLOOOR!
We painted the view from school today. I really like the view from our atalié on the forth floor so I decided to sit there ^_^ Merielle, Marcus, Lovisa and Miss Anon also sat there. I forgot to take a picture of my painting though… Gothenburg, where rainwater flows over and comes up from the sidewalk… ö__ö
Tomorrow is “Kristi himmelsfärds”-day so no school tomorrow or on Friday… WOHO!
See you tomorrow~
My school had culture day today and my class (the ones who dragged their ass to school) had an art exhibition! It was… nice. I think that it would’ve been more fun if more came and pinned their things to the cardboard wall! Nevertheless I was surprised that there were a lot of people stopping by (even though we weren’t there the whole time)… the fact that the art teacher’s had their beautiful work in the next room might’ve been the reason! >w<
Our room while we prepared!
Rapunzel’s work! The illustrations later got their rhymes and the bracelet’s she made got a bid on them.
Miss Anon aka Mashimoshi on fb (check her out! She even said so on the little note ^^). She is so good with everything she does!Anna’s work. She set up the work she’s done in graphics lesson and a model study. I really love her dry point-work!This is Ida’s photography / linoleum prints! Kitty ❤Marcus and his triangles~
What I showed! First my project work (the finished photos, as I promised!) and then the Metro fatshion illustrations, I’ve added one though (the first one). :D
And here’s some pictures from other exhibitions:Second year’s showing their stuff! Some art by teachers… I forgot to take a picture of the whole room. :cMade by a teacher called Thomas… so cool!
Another class of 2nd year’s showing what they’ve done!
Alice’s project work and her friend’s pictures of her.
You could do a lot more things besides looking at exhibitions, some of them being watching movies (both regular ones or ones made by students), listen to live music, make a garden gnome or go on a treasure hunt or two! :D
As I said yesterday (here), this is what I made last week in illustration-class. Now, it isn’t that good because I wasn’t feeling creative! I still like a few of them, hehe >w< They are made with water color and oil pastel. I’m going to eat breakfast now :3 I might upload a MOTD later! See you then!
Hiiii… missed me? :’3
I’m sick and school is still a lot to handle right now so I haven’t come up with anything to post.
Thursday never fails me though! My teacher was a bit late, she told us last week, but the boat she was on was more delayed than expected. We had more distractions too, so I only did two, haha. That’s it! I have a few from last week… those aren’t very good but I might upload them before I head to the city tomorrow! I don’t have any lessons tomorrow because of self study so I think that I’ll bring the camera and show you guys my day on Saturday! See you tomorrow!
I didn’t paint yesterday, instead I finished Professor Layton And The Lost Future! Yet another good game. I don’t have the rest but I’m determined to play Spectre’s Call and Miracle Mask before the release of Azran Legacy!
*Enough about that*
So I decided to show you some illustations I haven’t showed anyone (even though I quite like them).
They were done (in one go) early last year and as usual, I was bored when I made them haha. Now I’m going to make paint out of some nasty tasting Jelly Belly Beans and also try to write about a book we read in Swedish. See ya!
Stayed up until four because I was in the mood to bring out my art supplies. I made these with a water-soluble fineliner, an old Metro-newspaper and homemade wallpaper paste. I did two more but they have nothing with these so I’ll show them some other time~I really like working like this!
Next week I’ll be crazy busy so no blogging at all (I’ve been bad this week too, I know…). I’ll be tweeting as usual though, hehe. It’s not as time consuming as making posts. See you when hell week is over! QwQ
I was bored yesterday and just wanted to do something to stimulate my creativity. I haven’t done anything since I painted a naked lady and that was 10 days ago .__. I never paint anymore besides in class (which is sad… and not good at all since I should’ve finished a lot of things in illustration-class).
I worked with black tissue paper, yellow napkins and old, homemade wallpaper glue. Oh, and lipstick!
I really enjoyed doing these! I might do more today… or actually draw something. =w=
I told myself (and my Nintendo letter-friends) that I would finish Professor Layton and Pandora’s box this weekend so I might do that first and then draw something beautiful.
See you later!
Took my camera with me today because I wanted to take some pictures of the things we did in illustration-class yesterday! Took some pictures on the way though:
Threw the things I sent today, to the back of the car this morning! One is for Samantha (my beauty swap and the other one contain games I’ve sent to Spelbutiken, in return for points to buy some games!
My mom didn’t work today and she had to help my grandmother at the Chilean embassy (to renew her passport) so she drove to the city and I went along.
When I came to school I headed straight to the forth floor and my drawer. These are the self portraits I did on Wednesday’s “image construction”-class :
They are all made on A2 paper. Not very satisfied with these charcoal and chalk sketches but that’s why I have to practice! ^^ The “BLIND ART” one, I made with my eyes closed. Everybody was screaming “OMG, AH, IT LOOKS LIKE A CHILD ect.” so I laughed really hard while making it~
Yesterday my school had open house in the evening so that parents and 9th graders could take a look at what we do and what the inside of the school looks like. In preparation for that, my teacher in illustration wanted us to draw faces on three pieces of “fabric”. But before that we had the assignment to do faces with ink and water! (SO MUCH FUN!)
I used a thick and a thin brush with regular ink. And a spray bottle containing water!
I loved doing this! No pre sketching because I just wanted it to flow. Here are the fabrics. I made the middle one in the fabric strip to the left and the closed eyes + nose with a bow on her forehead! The middle one was so hard to do! I had to paint it on from the side, kneeling down. Her lips are super big and crooked :’D
A little summary of the past few days~ ^^ Hope you liked it!
After this post I’ve decided to upload my illustrations after I’ve made them! Waiting until the weekend makes me stressed to upload everything I’ve made through-out the week so expect alot more posts in a week haha! ^_^
All these are made with water color, ink and Stabilo pens. (Also used silver pen on the last one)
I’ve got the set you can roll up and take with you. I didn’t know you could dilute them until just recently!
They were all made during winter break (while watching movies with my brother). Hope you enjoyed!
Hey guys! An actual Art Sunday post… say whaaaaat. As you’ve probably noticed form my constant complaining (which I’m sorry about btw :c) about being stressed, really affects me badly. Anyway, tiny & silly sketches ahead!
These two were drawn during English class presentation. No need to say that I was bored and I wasn’t the only one (Emma sat next to me drawing random things too haha). The first one were suppose to be a girl from the start but… that didn’t happen. The second one in an effigy of a guy in my English class that was a KKK member during their group’s presentation about white supremacy in the south.
This creepy pumpkin girl(?) was drawn on the Thursday during Social Studies.
A reflection of my week, I hope you enjoyed it even though I didn’t. >w< I’m supposed to hand in an ink drawing tomorrow for Religion class. My teacher is going to use them in our Bible test. So… I should start now Ö_Ö’ The assignment is to recreate a biblical event. LET’S DO THIS!
