Hi guys! Merielle didn’t show up yesterday and I haven’t heard from her at all :c So I’m a little worried…
We waited an hour more just to see if she wasn’t on the next train (we ate 50% cheaper ice cream from Pressbyrån and walked to a store to pass time) but she wasn’t so we decided to eat pizza because we were starving. Pictures taken from the bus on the way to the pizza place!
When we were done we decided to head to Slottsskogen (translation: the castle’s forest).
But when we arrived at the central station we walked to Trädgårdsföreningen (translation: the garden association) instead (it’s closer and enjoyable).
It’s a pretty park with a playground, flowers and a tree you can climb. Both me and Miss Anon were there when we were children so it was a trip to memory lane! Everything is so much smaller, haha.
The first pictures are from The palm house (a big glasshouse)!
The view when you’ve entered the park. There’s ice left in the canal Ö_Ö
I was a bit chocked actually, haha. Crocheted little animals and pine cones/fruits by an artist called Knätofs! The biggest fish in the pond. The smaller ones were opening their mouthes at the water surface but I couldn’t take a picture of it… they were so cute! There’s so many pretty sculptures! Just look how the trees are growing on the house! *whaaaah*This tree seemed a lot larger when we were younger. It still has the same feeling to it though (and I still love it)! From the playground! I couldn’t take an overall picture because children were playing and their parents were with them… I didn’t want to seem like a creep! :’D
Yesterday was fun…. I just wish Merielle had been there with us
Last Thursday we did our culture activity: We Climbed St. Arthur’s seat.
Wa-wa-waaam! It looked crazy-big when you saw it from there .___.At the foot of the mountain.Dat peak… Ö^Ö St. Anthony’s chapel. On our way up! So beautiful :D Linnea took the picture and everyone else is in it! Martin to the left, Jacob being the fastest one and Emma is behind me with her plaited jacket~ At the top! It was cold and windy- opposite the weather on the way up *_* The lake we walked passed when we finally reached concrete! We saw a stork here too. This is the opposite from where we started walking :’3 At St Margaret’s Loch. The swan’s followed us <3 I’ve never seen so many birds in my life! Even baby-swan’s! °_° And crazy-looking duck-thingies. On our way back to the hostel! We bought yummy stuff on the awesome little store to the right of the hostel. After eight in it’s evolved form *mind blown*. We played dares with the starburst’s again! >w<Mr. lucky god toe!
We walked out again in the evening to see Edinburgh castle ^^
And there we were!“Real Hogwarts” again ;3Faancy.The view was so pretty at night (not that it wasn’t in the day, it’s just a different feel over the city)!I promise, I had those black circles under my eye….. >w<‘Silly Emma :DThe prettiest picture of J.K. Rowling’s handprints. She has shorter fingers than me but a larger thumb…Back at the headquarter’s… melon and pineapple time!
Our hostel breakfast∼ This is basically what we ate everyday for breakfast.Tuesday was the day we were at the University all day. Here we were waiting for a pre-meeting with the scottish students teacher. After that she invited us to her office in a different building and you’ll know why in two pictures! The elevators were occupied by rushing students so the teacher asked if we wanted to take the stairs and for some reason SOMEONE (not me of course) said yes… the department for Scandinavian studies are on the 13th floor, a.k.a highest up in the freakin’ building! We were so tired but because we (Emma, Linnea and I) walked at the front we didn’t stop. And what did we see? ^ That. A beautiful, foggy Edinburgh. The big mountain in the first picture is St. Arthur’s seat!On the other side of the building, from the window in the staircase. The lobby of the building where we listened to a lecture on Scottish culture from an awesome man (I sadly can’t recall his name) but he made everything a lot of fun.He gave us Irn Bru… and we gave him salt licorice (because it’s apparently rare outside of Sweden or something). Then we had a few hours till we had to have class with the scottish students, so we ate and walked around. The class we had was crazy. We moved all the chairs so two faced each other in a long trail. It looked like some kind of blind date scenario. The room was tiny for the amount of people in it, and it was so hot inside. And we did a lot of different group exercises. Some were pointless but a few were pretty funny. Before we headed to the hostel that evening, we stopped by Tesco express and bought our dinner. Emma, Linnea and I bought the same thing haha.My shoes got totally destroyed from all the times I tripped over nothing on the uneven street. So I had to buy new shoes but I couldn’t that evening because everything was closed already. Around 22.00 that evening, the majority of the class met up with the Edinburgh students at the OZ bar. It was nice (- the creeps trying to hit on people). We headed back to the hostel with Alexandra and Camilla at around 12 and that was for the best because the others stayed three hours after that and they looked so tired the morning after. I was tired enough during the three hour guided tour haha!
This is what you missed out on Saturday night.
A snowstorm around 10 PM – 1 AM1! Ö_ÖA shivering Nancy walking around Central Station.
Two men peeing on the Femman building… classy. <3
A pretty, cloudy gray/green night sky.
I hope you’re having a great time in Edinburgh!
(Yes she actually booked in a trip to Edinburgh three days before I’m going, crazy-crazy! ^^)
//Really, really tired Nyancy that will sleep soundly now because her eyes are dying from the lowest laptop lighting. Good night. 02:42.
Good morning! ^_^/
As I said yesterday, I modelled for the Hellebore-design, I made originally for Robin, this Saturday. The hellebore flower, also called the Christmas rose, blooms during the winter so I felt that I needed ice in the background!
This is what it looks like:
I used this picture as my reference.
And here are the pictures from Saturday:These are edited. Tora walked around while I took the pictures! He was so cute that I just had to have him in them when I saw that he walked behind me!I never say no to some kitty-kompany~ ^_Ö
As I’ve said before in the other project-posts (Flower Power! and Mr. Aconitum): I’m not showing you the best picture or the sketches yet! When I’ve done everybody, a post including all the sketches and final results will be uploaded. c:
Even though Robin couldn’t make it to this one, I’m actually heading to his apartment today! He promised me cookies and the latest episodes of Once Upon a Time/The Walking Dead~ ;D I asked if he still wanted to be a model and he said yes so his design is a secret, both to you guys and to him!
I’m going to scan all my doodles now so the Class doodles-post should be up in an hour or so! See you guys later~
// Miss Hellebore
From this past Thursday. It was so foggy and cold when I was going to school, at around noon! But then when class started, the sun poped out.
Went to Joel with Madeleine last Friday. It was really nice~ We walked to the highest spot on Brännö (he lives on the island), saw 3 cute and super cuddly cats (two being Joel’s and the last one we encountered on our way to the boat! He/she really wanted to cuddle~ We got followed until we had to take the boat… I WANT TO SEE THAT CAT AGAIN!) and I made Joel into a aconitum (for my project)!
The view at the top! So pretty~“Bitch, I’m fabulous”Madeleine tried to peak inside… I don’t know what she saw, but it probably wasn’t anything intriguing :c Mysterious Madeleine… almost looked like regular Joel! :’D Mr. cool~Aww~ You can’t handle this much fabulous!
We ate som major food when we got back.Enough messing around. Business time! 8DYou wish… it took longer than it probably could’ve taken but to be fair, my shaking eyeliner hand was hard to control!Makeup and cat hair everywhere! Little Skruttan in the background~The looks-nothing-like-Joel-picture! When we were done… he was kind of unrecognizable! In the middle of the woods taking pictures while the snow was falling ❤Finished Joel. As I said on the o†her flower project-models, this is (completely unedited and) not the best picture! ^_^ Here’s the Aconitum-flower that inspired the look:
I had a lot of fun that day! Looking forward to do everyone else~
New theme, new background and new gravatar-picture~ Yep I needed a change!
I currently have a picture that I took last Friday of the view from the highest peak of Brännö (an island), in the background. I’ll post the pictures from then, tomorrow. When spring comes I’ll change it~
I might change the theme again though. Not quite satisfied with the font! >w<‘
I’m going to upload some class doodles now so that’ll be the next post, see you soon! :D
Hi guys. First day of Winter sports-break was fun! Miss Anon and Merielle came and me walked around in the woods, watched two movies (not after each other) and took a trip to the supermarket to buy snacks. Here’s some pictures! :D
After this we went home and saw Drag me to hell + ate. Then we wanted to buy some snacks so we did that… but we missed the bus on the way home and almost froze to death for about 40 minutes!
We came home and drank tea, ate cookies and watched Resident Evil.
We couldn’t sleep after that so we talked for about 3-4 hours!
Now we’re expecting Marcus and Anna! But the bus drove away from them so we have to wait for a little longer than expected… oh well~
Going to put my cold feet on Merielle now, byeee! ^_^
Took my camera with me today because I wanted to take some pictures of the things we did in illustration-class yesterday! Took some pictures on the way though:
Threw the things I sent today, to the back of the car this morning! One is for Samantha (my beauty swap and the other one contain games I’ve sent to Spelbutiken, in return for points to buy some games!
My mom didn’t work today and she had to help my grandmother at the Chilean embassy (to renew her passport) so she drove to the city and I went along.
When I came to school I headed straight to the forth floor and my drawer. These are the self portraits I did on Wednesday’s “image construction”-class :
They are all made on A2 paper. Not very satisfied with these charcoal and chalk sketches but that’s why I have to practice! ^^ The “BLIND ART” one, I made with my eyes closed. Everybody was screaming “OMG, AH, IT LOOKS LIKE A CHILD ect.” so I laughed really hard while making it~
Yesterday my school had open house in the evening so that parents and 9th graders could take a look at what we do and what the inside of the school looks like. In preparation for that, my teacher in illustration wanted us to draw faces on three pieces of “fabric”. But before that we had the assignment to do faces with ink and water! (SO MUCH FUN!)
I used a thick and a thin brush with regular ink. And a spray bottle containing water!
I loved doing this! No pre sketching because I just wanted it to flow. Here are the fabrics. I made the middle one in the fabric strip to the left and the closed eyes + nose with a bow on her forehead! The middle one was so hard to do! I had to paint it on from the side, kneeling down. Her lips are super big and crooked :’D
A little summary of the past few days~ ^^ Hope you liked it!
